Yikes- It has been so long since I have had the opportunity to blog! Basically, the last 6 months have been the craziest in my life and is my only excuse as to why I have abandoned my writing.  Here is a little synopsis for y’all:

My Wonderful Boss mentioned multiple times in my blog entries (aka Georgia Peach) - left our company for a new job opportunity at an organic foods company in October.  Suffice to say, I was emotionally distraught at the onset of this; she was like my “Marketing Mother” - she brought me into this world, and now she was leaving me.  However, I have grown to really love my new Marketing Director, Denise (aka Jersey Girl) as part of the “Marketing Family”. 

Georgia Peach is LOVING her new role as a Marketing Specialist for a company that she is so passionate about! I am excited for her and wish her the best in life! I miss our daily chats and her bright, cheerful energy - but I know she is in a better place :)  She gave me the opportunity for this wonderful job, and by leaving, she gave me the opportunity to grow in my Marketing role by taking on more responsibilities and by moving office locations to our Charlotte, NC office.  I was totally stoked on the idea of moving across the country because Matt and I wouldn’t have to live at his dad’s house anymore and we would actually be able to afford the dreaded 4 letter word - R.E.N.T! I believe I have talked previously about the insane housing prices in California.  To sum it up, I would pay $800 for an 8 x 10 ROOM in a house - not my cup of tea.  I am 25 years old and in a relationship - I need my space!! Well, on January 8, 2011 we started our drive from Santa Cruz, CA to Charlotte, NC.  My company paid for our move (which was a lifesaver!) and gave me a week to move out there. So, we stayed with my cousin and her family in Flagstaff, AZ for two nights and I was also able to see some college friends and my friend from high school in Scottsdale, AZ!!

It was a great trip and we finally made it to our new apartment in Ballantyne (suburb of Charlotte) Friday, January 14, 2011.  Everything has worked out so great and we love our new place!! We are still getting settled, and I will post some pictures after I have furnished and decorated our new apartment!
